Blog Post 11

I couldn't figure out how to upload the recording to my blog, so here is the youtube link:

Knowledge and understanding of the poem/extract
For this section, I would give myself a 6 because I generally understood the text, but could have supported my points more frequently by referencing the text.
Appreciation of the writer’s choices
I would once again give myself a 6 because my awareness of literary features could have been a lot better.
Organization and presentation
I would give myself a 2 for organization because I lacked a lot of it....need to set aside the last minute or so to gather my thoughts in planning.
Language
I would give myself a 3 in the language section because it was clear and appropriate, but extremely informal.

  1. Hey sarah, I have not seen you in a week and that is sad. Sad for me. Ok so your IOC...I have to say IT WAS ROCKIN mostly because it was yours. I really liked how you discussed the effects of emotion on the passage and the characters. It was interesting how what they said to be their emotions was usually different than how they actually felt, which we discussed in class. I can personally relate to this because I said your blog was rocking but really it was eh.

see I did it again. I said it was eh but it was soooo rockin

  2. I think this was a good practice IOC! I think that understanding of the author's purpose of using different literary features is something that is always important to remember but you did a fairly good job of this. Just keep in mind that when looking at the features of the text, talk about the possible reason for using them and the effect on the text as a whole. Doing this will add points to knowledge and understanding of the text as well. But just some fun pointers (kinda for myself as well lol). I thought overall your IOC was very strong.
